On Friday, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav, while inaugurating the newly constructed multipurpose sports complex in Ujjain, expressed hope that by practicing here, the young players of Malwa will be able to win medals at the national and international level. He said that while implementing the new education policy in MP, sports have also been included in the curriculum. Now, like teachers, sports teachers and players' coaches will also get ample opportunities.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that sports like gymnastics, athletics, basketball, Malkhamb etc. have a golden history in Ujjain. For Malkhamb, Ujjain's name comes first in the country. Malkhamb and gymnastics academy are also being run here.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the sports complex, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav gave a big gift to Ujjain. He said that now an international cricket stadium will be built in Ujjain. CM said that the work of world class cricket stadium on the grounds of Vikram University will be started soon.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav also announced to build a stadium with astro turf in Ujjain to promote hockey and Dhyanchand competition. He also talked about converting Kshirsagar Stadium into a multipurpose sports complex soon.
Ujjain's newly constructed multipurpose sports complex Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Sports Complex has been developed on about 18 acres of land. The sports complex has been constructed at a cost of Rs 11.43 crore. The newly constructed complex has badminton, table tennis, Malkhamb Arena, shooting, football, lawn tennis courts as well as international level athletic synthetic track.
