Afro Asia Cup: The teams of India and Pakistan are seen facing each other in any ICC tournament in international cricket. But what if players from both the teams are seen playing in the same team. The African Cricket Association (ACA) seems to be requesting for the start of one of its special old tournaments. The African Cricket Association has held talks with the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to start this tournament after two decades.

After 2 years it was organized in India and the Asian team had won. The third season was to start in Kenya in 2009, but the tournament was stopped after just two seasons.

ACA interim president Tavengwa Mukulani was quoted as saying by ESPN Cricinfo, 'Apart from cricket, the Afro Asia Cup brings much-needed financial support to the organisation. Good will for this has been seen from both sides. We discussed this issue with our Asian Cricket Council counterparts and associations on our African continent. They want Afro Asia to be restarted.

In 2005, they were seen playing together against India and Pakistan. During that time, big faces like Rahul Dravid, Ashish Nehra and Anil Kumble were included in the Asian team. At the same time, legends like MS Dhoni, Sourav Ganguly, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar, who made Team India the champion in 2007, got a place in the Asian team.
