Fastest ball in women's cricket: Pakistan's pace sensation Shoaib Akhtar holds the record for bowling the fastest ball in world cricket. In 2003, he shocked the world by bowling the ball at a speed of 161.3 kilometers per hour against England. This is a record which has not been broken till date. But today we will not talk about Akhtar but about the female bowler who, like him, has made the record of throwing the fastest ball. Her name is Shabnim Ismail, who has played international cricket for South Africa.
This 35-year-old bowler had bowled the ball at a speed of 132.1 kilometers per hour in the Women's Premier League (WPL) this year. He achieved this feat by dismissing Mag Lanning of Delhi Capitals. During this, Ismail broke the record of Australian fast bowler Ellis Perry, who bowled the ball at a speed of 130.5 kilometers per hour in the WPL last year. The special thing is that Perry broke Shabnim's record by throwing the fastest ball. But this record again came into his lap.
