Who is Devjit Saikia?

Devjit Saikia has been a first-class cricketer in India, apart from being an advocate, he also has experience in cricket administration. He comes from Assam and has also represented his state in Ranji Trophy. Saikia used to play the role of wicketkeeper and middle order batsman during his cricket career. He has been the Joint Secretary of BCCI since the year 2022 and has made important contribution in carrying out many big works under the leadership of Jay Shah.

Apart from this, Saikia has been holding the post of General Secretary of Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) since May 2023. He played only 4 matches for Assam in his first-class career in which he scored 53 runs. In the role of a wicketkeeper, he took 8 catches and also stumped a batsman.
