Sri Lanka National Cricket Team vs West Indies National Cricket Team 3rd ODI Match 2024 Scorecard: The third match of the three-match ODI series between Sri Lanka national cricket team and West Indies national cricket team was played today i.e. on 26 October. This match between the two teams was played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele. In the third ODI, West Indies defeated Sri Lanka by eight wickets. With this, Sri Lanka captured the series 2-1. The command of Sri Lanka in this series was in the hands of Charith Asalanka. Whereas West Indies was captained by Shai Hope. Meanwhile, in the third ODI, West Indies captain Shai Hope won the toss and decided to bowl first. After losing the toss, the Sri Lankan team, who came to bat first, had a great start and both the openers put 81 runs on the board for the first wicket. Once again rain disrupted the match. After which a match of 23-23 overs was decided. Sri Lankan team scored 156 runs on the board after losing three wickets in 23 overs. For Sri Lanka, Kusal Mendis played the highest explosive inning of 56 unbeaten runs.

During this innings, Kusal Mendis hit nine fours and one six in 22 balls. Apart from Kusal Mendis, opener Pathum Nissanka scored 56 runs. Roston Chase gave the first success to the West Indies team. For West Indies, Roston Chase and Sherfane Rutherford took the maximum of one wicket each. To win this match, West Indies team had to score 195 runs in 23 overs under DLS rule.
The West Indies team, which came to chase the target, had a disappointing start and the team suffered its first major setback at the score of just 36 runs. West Indies team achieved the target by losing two wickets in just 22 overs. For West Indies, opening batsman Evin Lewis played the best inning of 102* runs. Apart from Evin Lewis, Sherfane Rutherford scored 50* runs. Asitha Fernando gave the first major success to the Sri Lankan team. For Sri Lanka, Asitha Fernando and Dilshan Madushanka took the maximum of one wicket each.
