Gujarat's wicketkeeper batsman Urvil Patel played a strong innings against Tripura in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and broke Rishabh Pant's record. Urvil scored a century in just 28 balls and became the fastest Indian batsman to score a century in the T20 format. Before Urvil, this record was in the name of Pant, who had scored a century in 32 balls against Himachal Pradesh in the same tournament in 2018.
