In this series, Mohammed Shami was awarded the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on Monday. (Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy) Has been included in Bengal's 22-member team. Before the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Mohammed Shami played for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy, in which he bowled brilliantly against Madhya Pradesh and took a total of seven wickets. Apart from this, he also showed fighting spirit with the bat and contributed a total of 39 runs in both the innings.
Mohammed Shami bowled under the supervision of Indian team assistant coach Abhishek Nair after the end of the Test match against New Zealand in Bengaluru last month. Despite all this, he failed to make a place in the Indian team for the Australia tour. The 34-year-old Indian fast bowler played his last international match in the ICC Men's ODI World Cup Final in November 2023.
