Suryakumar led the team to victory by 133 runs in the third T20 match against Bangladesh and won the series. With this victory, Surya has also made a special record. He has become the first Indian captain, under whose captaincy Team India has won two T20 matches by a margin of more than 100 runs.
Earlier, under the leadership of Yadav, India had won a T20 match against South Africa by 106 runs in 2023. Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill and KL Rahul have also won one T20 match each under their captaincy by a margin of more than 100 runs.

Suryakumar has so far captained the Indian team in 13 T20 International matches, out of which he has won 10, lost 2 and tied 1 match. He has become India's fourth most successful T20 captain.
