Kotkhai (Rohru). The second Junior Under-18 Tehsil level cricket competition organized by District Shimla Cricket Association has started at Gumma Stadium. Ten teams from the district are participating in this competition. The competition is being organized in the memory of former district level cricket players late Sanjeev Thakur (Sanju Left) and late Amit Thakur (Montu). Both of them died in the Shiv Bawadi accident. District Shimla Cricket Association President Surendra Thakur said that MP and former Union Minister Anurag Thakur has contributed in building the Gumma Stadium of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association. In this competition, Shimla Urban Blasters, Shimla Rural Kings, K Kant Cricket Foundation Rohru, Kotkhai Daredevils, Bushahr Super Kings Rampur, KNK Rising Star Kotgarh/Kumarsain/Nankhari, Hateshwari Warriors Jubal, Chudeshwar Warriors Chaupal, HPCL Pro 11 Shimla, Theog Dynamites. Teams are participating. From here, 20-20 players have been selected for the team of each tehsil. After this, after retrenchment, there will be a 14-member team. He said that the league matches will be of 20-20 overs each. The semi-finals and final will be of 40 overs each. The winner will be given a running trophy and Rs 1 lakh and the runner up team will be given a cash prize. The sponsors of the teams will be Rishabh Chauhan, Sardeep Thakur and Gaurav Verma and Rajendra Nahata, Ajay Thakur, Sahil Sani, Shubham Sharma and Yashwinder Singh Thakur, Karan Kant, Manoj Chauhan, Kumari Sejal Kimta Shamsher Thakur. He said that the final match of the competition will be held on November 28.
