Turmoil in Pakistan cricket, now the legend suddenly resigned; Also gave a big reason

Pakistan Cricket Board: Pakistan cricket team recently lost the test series against Bangladesh 2-0. After this the team was criticized everywhere. Then PCB organized a connection camp with the players, in which they interacted with the players. Now former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf has resigned from the post of national selector. He has left this post citing personal reasons.

Mohammad Yusuf also gave the reason for leaving the post

Mohammad Yousuf wrote on 'X' that I announce my resignation as selector of Pakistan cricket team due to personal reasons. It has been a pleasure to serve this amazing team. I am proud to have contributed to the growth and success of Pakistan cricket. I have great confidence in the talent and passion of our players. This team will continue its efforts to improve and I wish the team all the best.

Yusuf has also been the head coach of Pakistani Under-19 team.

Yousuf has been associated with the Pakistan Cricket Board in various roles since last year. He was part of the national selection committee that includes two former Test players, the head coach, the captain and an analyst. Another former player in the selection committee is Asad Shafiq. Yousuf has also served as the batting coach of the national senior team and the head coach of the Pakistan Under-19 team in the last two years. He has been a selector for Pakistan cricket during an 'uncertain period' where the selection committee and the system associated with it has been changed repeatedly.

A source close to Yousuf said that the former batsman was not happy with the criticism he received. What disappointed him the most was the criticism he received from PCB stakeholders and junior players. The source said he was uncomfortable with being regularly ridiculed in the media and social media and felt it would be better for him to focus solely on coaching. This year, PCB had given equal rights to all the selectors and abolished the post of Chief Selector.
