Craig Brathwaite becomes the player who played most consecutive test matches for West Indies
The second match of the 2-match Test series being played between West Indies and Bangladesh started on 30 November on the ground of Jamaica. The match started late due to rain and wet outfield in which Bangladesh team won the toss and decided to bat first. In this match, West Indies captain Craig Brathwaite made a big record in his name. When he came on the field for the toss, he became the player to play the most number of consecutive Test matches for West Indies. Brathwaite broke the record of great West Indies player Gary Sobers in this matter.
Brathwaite played 86 consecutive test matches
Talking about Craig Brathwaite, he has played 86 consecutive Test matches for West Indies so far. In his statement regarding this achievement, he said that this is a big thing for me. The record for playing consecutive matches in Test cricket is in the name of former England captain Alastair Cook, who played 159 matches. At the second place in this list is the name of veteran Australian player Allan Border, who played 153 consecutive Test matches. The record for playing consecutive matches in Test cricket for India is in the name of Sunil Gavaskar who played 106 Test matches continuously.
