The record for playing consecutive matches in Test cricket is in the name of former England captain Alastair Cook, who played 159 matches. At the second place in this list is the name of veteran Australian player Allan Border, who played 153 consecutive Test matches. The record for playing consecutive matches in Test cricket for India is in the name of Sunil Gavaskar who played 106 Test matches continuously.
