Preparations intensified for the resumption of the Afro-Asia Cup.

Fans on the cricket field eagerly wait for the match between India and Pakistan, while if they get a chance to see the players of both the teams playing for the same team, then any fan of world cricket would miss this moment. Wouldn't want to lose. The last time something like this was seen was in 2007 when players from India and Pakistan were seen playing together in the Afro-Asia Cup. Now, preparations are being made to organize this tournament again after 17 years, regarding which the interim president of African Cricket Association i.e. ACA, Tavengwa Mukuhalani has given a big update to restart this tournament.

ACA formed a committee of 6 members

The African Cricket Association has also formed an interim committee of 6 members to restart the Afro-Asia Cup so that the further process of conducting the tournament can be taken forward. His first aim will be to talk to the Asian Cricket Council to explore opportunities to organize the Afro-Asia Cup. This tournament has been played only twice so far, for the first time it was hosted by South Africa in the year 2005, while for the second time it was hosted by India in the year 2007. The third edition of the tournament was to be held in Kenya in 2009, but even after two decades, it could not be held. The biggest reason for this is the poor relations between India and Pakistan, in which there is not even a bilateral series between the two countries.

Afro-Asia Cup will also provide an opportunity to improve the economic situation

The Afro-Asia Cup is an intercontinental cup that is held between two teams made up of players from Asia and Africa, in which a 3-3 match series is played between the two. ACA interim president Tavengwa Mukuhlani, who is also the president of Zimbabwe Cricket, said in a statement that apart from cricket, the Afro-Asia Cup brings much-needed financial input to the organization which is also very beneficial for everyone.
