Crazy: Match played on big screen at intersection and hotel The markets in Gwalior closed early during the T-20 match as it was Sunday. During this period, big screens were installed in major intersections, grounds, hotels and restaurants of the city. Those who did not have tickets for the match reached the hotel-restaurant with their families on Sunday and enjoyed the match with their favorite dishes.

Excitement: Fans reached the same route from which the team started in the afternoon. Even though Team India left Hotel UKP in the evening for the T-20 match, the spectators were camping on the route through which the team had to come since 2 pm. People along with their families waited for about 3 hours to get a glimpse of the team players, but their enthusiasm was not diminished.

Raunak: Shops decorated at night, team t-shirt worth Rs 6 lakhs sold Before Diwali, the city was seen with festive atmosphere. Even though the match was to be held on Sunday evening, from Saturday night itself, shops selling T-shirts and tricolor flags were set up on the main routes leading to the stadium to support the Indian team. Shopkeepers said that around Rs 6 lakh worth of samana was sold in just three hours.

  • In view of the way some organizations had warned of protests before the match, the administration had made strict arrangements. The police stopped people from wearing black clothes inside the stadium.
  • To avoid traffic jam due to heavy rush of vehicles on Stadium Road, strictness was started at the checking point from 2 pm onwards. For this, the vehicles were allowed to pass after seeing the match tickets at Sada Tirahe from Bahodapur, Motijheel and Gol Pahadiya.

Dispute between TI and constable During the match, there was a dispute between the constable and TI at gate number 3. TI was on duty at the gate, during which the constable was trying to force a young man inside the gate. TI stopped him and there was a dispute between them. Its video went viral, in which TI is seen pushing the reservation.
