Pakistan's spinners took 20 of England's 20 wickets in the match. The special thing was that captain Shan Masood did not bowl even a single fast bowler during this period, that is, only spinners were used in both Pakistan matches. Let us tell you, this was the first time in the history of Pakistan cricket, when he did not bowl over any fast bowler in a test match. His decision proved correct and Pakistan was successful in breaking the losing streak.

The spinners of both the teams together took a total of 73 wickets in this series, this is also a record. Before this, spinners had not taken so many wickets in any single Test series in Pakistan. Earlier in the year 1969/70, in the Test series played between Pakistan and New Zealand, the spinners had taken a total of 71 wickets. Pakistan's spinners Sajid Khan and Noman Ali were the biggest heroes of their victory against England. Both these bowlers were not part of the playing 11 in the first match of the series, yet the maximum number of wickets in the series remained in the names of these two bowlers.

Noman Ali played 2 matches in this series and took 20 wickets, he topped the list of bowlers taking the most wickets. At the same time, Sajid Khan made a total of 19 batsmen his victims in 4 innings of 2 matches. He remained at second place in this list. Jack Leach of England was the most successful bowler of England with 16 wickets.
