Indore. Baroda team led by Krunal Pandya has created a new history today by scoring a huge record score of 349 runs in the T-20 match against Sikkim in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. With this inning, Baroda team has broken Zimbabwe's record of 344 runs and made a new record of making the biggest team score in T-20. Bhanu Paniya played the highest innings of 51 balls (134 not out) for the Baroda team.
Apart from this, Shivalik Sharma (53 runs in 17 balls), Abhimanyu Singh (55 runs in 17 balls), and Vishnu Solanki (50 runs in 16 balls) scored quick half-centuries. Shashwat Rawat (43) and Mahesh Pitiya (eight) were out after scoring runs. In this match, Baroda hit a record 37 sixes in its innings. This is the record for most sixes in a single innings in T-20 history. Earlier this record was in the name of Zimbabwe, who had hit 27 sixes against Gambia. A total of 37 sixes combined in both innings of a match is the fifth highest figure.
After this performance of Baroda, the race for knockout in Group B of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy has become even more interesting. Three teams in the group are on top with 20 points, but this score of Baroda can significantly improve their net run rate, which will strengthen their position in the points table.
