New Delhi/Ghaziabad: Three players from Ghaziabad have been selected in the Uttar Pradesh team for Ranji Trophy. Which includes Swastik Chikara, Siddharth Yadav and Madhav Kaushik. Players have been selected on the basis of performance. Ghaziabad Cricket Association has expressed happiness over the selection of players. The organization believes that this will encourage the young players practicing in Ghaziabad.
Swastik Chikara is an opening right handed batsman. Swastik Chikara was selected in IPL in December 2023. Delhi Capital had bought Swastik Chikara for Rs 20 lakh. Swastik was selected in IPL at the age of 18. Siddharth Yadav, resident of Kotgaon, Ghaziabad, has performed for India in the Under-19 cricket team. At the same time, Madhav Kaushik has played for Uttar Pradesh Under-19 cricket team. In the 2016-17 Cooch Behar Trophy, Madhav Kaushik gave a strong performance by scoring a century in the final.

GCA President said that soon we are going to start Ghaziabad Premier League. A total of 6 teams will be formed consisting of junior and senior players. In which about 150 players will be included. Junior and senior players will play together in the team. During the Premier League, juniors will get a chance to play with seniors, so that they will get better experience.
