New Delhi : India's T20 specialist batsman Suryakumar Yadav will lead India in the upcoming 4-match T20I series against South Africa starting on Friday (November 8). After the 0-3 whitewash in the 3-match Test series against New Zealand at home, the fans of Team India are expecting victory from their team again.

Surya hopes to return to Test
During the Test series against New Zealand, Suryakumar was not a part of the team, he has played only 1 match for India in the Test format. However, speaking ahead of the series against South Africa, Suryakumar Yadav has expressed hope of a Test comeback and revealed that he is taking part in all red-ball, white-ball domestic tournaments.

He said, 'When the time comes, I will return to Test. I am playing in all domestic tournaments, be it red ball or white ball. I don't miss any match. If there is a comeback in Test, it will happen.

Played the only test for India
The only Test match Suryakumar Yadav played was against Australia in 2023, where he scored 8 runs in his only innings. In the same year, he was selected as a reserve player in the WTC final.

Excellent record in first class cricket
Let us tell you that Suryakumar has participated in 84 first class matches. During this period, he has scored 5656 runs in 140 innings at an average of 42.84, which includes 14 centuries and 29 half-centuries. In this, 200 runs has been his highest score.

Suryakumar captained the Mumbai team for a short period during the 2014–15 Ranji Trophy season. He scored 690 runs in 10 matches in this tournament. He was also a part of the Mumbai team that won the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy title.
