Lucknow, Amrit Vichar: In the 36th All India Advocates Cricket Tournament, Supreme Court has made it to the semi-finals by defeating Lucknow Advocates Cricket Association (LACA). With this, Punjab and Haryana, Aurangabad High Court and Allahabad High Court have entered the semi-finals.
In the quarter final played at SGPGI Ground, Supreme Court batted first and posted a huge score of 277 runs on the board after losing 6 wickets in 35 overs. Saurabh Ahuja scored 72 runs with the help of 7 fours. Aditya batted brilliantly and scored 60 runs in 24 balls with the help of five fours and four sixes. Manish Mishra and Pradeep Tiwari took two wickets each from LACA. In reply, LACA team got bundled out for 75 runs in 20.4 overs. Abhishek Mishra scored 24, Manish Mishra scored 15 and Rakesh Yadav scored 12 runs. Murtaza Hasan, Varun Singh, Mandeep Singh returned to the pavilion without opening the account. Other batsmen could not reach double figures. For Supreme Court, Karanvir took four wickets, Maddy and Aditya took three wickets each. Aditya was declared man of the match.
In the second quarter-final, Punjab & Haryana defeated Mumbai High Court by 147 runs. In response to the winning team's 250 runs, Mumbai team was reduced to 103 runs. In the third quarter-final, Aurangabad High Court defeated Gujarat High Court by 4 wickets. Gujarat scored 230 runs losing 6 wickets in 30 overs. In reply, Aurangabad scored 234 runs losing 6 wickets and registered victory. In the fourth quarter-final, Allahabad High Court defeated Delhi High Court by 3 wickets. Delhi High Court scored 237 runs losing all the wickets in 34.1 overs. In reply, Allahabad High Court scored 238 runs losing 7 wickets and registered victory.
