When the woman did not pay the money, the accused sent that video to the mobile phone of the woman's younger son on 7 November 2024. Then started calling his son. The son did not answer the call, but on November 8, the accused again sent a message from the same number demanding Rs 3 lakh. The accused said that if the money was not paid then the video would be made viral. After this, accused Jaipal also sent the woman's video to her brother-in-law's son, after which there was a stir in the woman's family. The woman's son immediately lodged a complaint at the Cantt police station.
