There has been another earthquake in Pakistan cricket. According to media reports, PCB can now remove Jason Gillespie after Gary Kirsten. Aaqib Javed can become the head coach in his place.
The chaos in the Pakistan Cricket Board shows no signs of ending. Recently, Gary Kirsten surprised everyone by suddenly resigning from the post of limited overs coach. Now news is coming that preparations have been made to remove Pakistan's current limited overs coach Jason Gillespie from his post. Such claims are being made in many media reports.
Jason Gillespie was appointed the head coach of Pakistan's white ball format during the ODI series against Australia. He was given this responsibility after the resignation of Gary Kirsten.
Now, in place of Jason Gillespie, there is a strong possibility of current national selector and former fast bowler Aaqib Javed being appointed head coach in white ball formats (T20 International and ODI) before Pakistan's tour of Zimbabwe.
Pakistan will travel to Zimbabwe for three ODIs and as many T20 matches between November 24 and December 5. A reliable source in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that Javed was not ready to take over the responsibility of the team's coach but Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has convinced him. The source said that the Pakistani team will fly to Harare after playing its last T20 match in Australia on Monday. In such a situation, the new head coach will join him in Zimbabwe.

Javed is currently a senior national selector. He has a lot of coaching experience with Lahore Qalandars in Pakistan Super League (PSL). He was also recently the bowling coach of Sri Lanka. He has in the past been the bowling coach of Pakistan and the head coach of the Under-19 team.
After Pakistan's limited overs coach Gary Kirsten stepped down, the PCB wanted to hand over this responsibility to Test coach Jason Gillespie. But he rejected this offer. The same Aaqib Javed is ready to become the limited overs coach of Pakistan.
