India's wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant and New Zealand's batsman Daryl Mitchell have been rewarded for their good performances in the recently played three-match Test series. Both have reached the top 10 in the rankings for Test batsmen. In the latest ICC rankings released on Wednesday, Pant gained five places and reached sixth position. Pant scored a brilliant half-century in the third test, but could not save the team from defeat. At the same time, Virat Kohli, who performed poorly in the three Test matches against New Zealand, has dropped eight places and is out of the top-20.
