Rishabh Pant-MS Dhoni: The Indian cricket team has made a tremendous comeback in the Bengaluru Test against New Zealand. After being all out for 46 runs in the first innings, Team India played brilliantly in the second innings. New Zealand scored 402 runs and took a huge lead of 356 runs in the first innings. India played brilliantly on the third day and displayed batting brilliance in the second innings. This continued on Saturday (19 October), the fourth day of the match. India scored 344/3 runs till lunch. At that time Team India was only 12 runs behind.

In the second innings, Rohit Sharma (52) and Virat Kohli (70) laid a strong foundation for Team India by playing brilliant innings. Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant did not let it go to waste. Both of them made India's comeback in the match by making a century partnership for the fourth wicket. Till lunch on the fourth day, Sarfaraz was unbeaten on 125 runs and Pant was unbeaten on 53 runs. Pant made a big record during his half-century innings.

Pant made a big record
Pant became the fastest Indian wicketkeeper to score 2500 runs in Test cricket. He achieved this feat in just 62 innings. Earlier this record was in the name of former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He made this record in 69 innings. Whereas, Farooq Engineer had achieved this feat in 82 innings. Pant was unable to keep wickets on the third day due to a knee injury. He rested for a day and did wonders in batting on the fourth day.

He has scored 50 or more runs for the 18th time in his Test career. Pant achieved this feat in the 62nd innings. In this matter he equaled Farooq Engineer. The engineer did this 18 times in 87 innings. Dhoni is number-1 in this matter. He scored 50 or more runs in Tests 39 times in 144 innings.
