Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi finally seems ready for a compromise. He has shown interest in solving the issues related to hosting the Champions Trophy. While talking in an interview, Mohsin said that PCB is ready to take such a decision, so that the tournament can be held easily.
It is being estimated from Mohsin's words that he will now agree to the hybrid model. Mohsin also said that PCB wants a solution which will impact the upcoming tournaments as well. Pakistan is hosting the Champions Trophy 2025. But India refused to go here due to security reasons. And after this the discussion on hosting the tournament started.

Initially Mohsin was completely against the hybrid model. He had clearly said that it is unacceptable for India not to come to Pakistan to play. But now it seems that he will agree to the hybrid model. In a conversation Mohsin said,
'There are a lot of things going on and I don't want anything to happen to spoil everything. We have shared our views on some things. Same thing has happened from India also. Our focus is only on the victory of cricket. This is most important. And we want everything to be done with respect. We will do whatever is best for cricket.
Will go on any formula, obviously not hybrid formula. If any new formula is made, it will be made on the basis of equality. Many things can happen, but we have to decide the victory of cricket. The most important thing for Pakistan is the respect of Pakistan. After that there are all the other things. Cricket has to win and Pakistan's respect also has to be maintained.
Recently a meeting of the ICC Board was held. 12 full members, three associate members and ICC members were present in this meeting. But no decision could be taken in this meeting. In the hybrid model, matches will be held at different venues. And now it is hoped that everyone will agree on this.
PCB has set some conditions for accepting the hybrid model. Under these conditions, India's group matches and knockouts should be held in Dubai. But if the Indian team is out in the group stage, then the knockout games will be held in Lahore only. Besides, Pakistan also wants that they should not be forced to go to India during ICC events held in India. Their matches should be held outside India.
Currently the Champions Trophy is to be held from 17th February to 9th March. Its matches will be held in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi. PCB has also got the repair work done on these stadiums. Pakistan team is also the current champion of the Champions Trophy. They won this trophy by defeating India in the final of 2017.
