Punjab,Punjab: Punjab organized the 4th Balramji Tandon Under-16 Multi-Day Memorial Cricket Tournament played at DAV College, Sector 10. Memorial Cricket Tournament Defeated Delhi on the basis of first innings lead. Punjab won the toss and decided to bowl first. After bowling out Delhi for 124, Punjab scored 362/5, in which Shanveer Kalsi (165) and Arvind Singh (105) made important contributions. Punjab got a huge lead of 238 runs, while Delhi scored 110/5 in the second innings. Chandigarh's Ranveer Ahuja was named the best bowler in the tournament for taking 27 wickets, while Punjab's Advik Singh was named the 'best batsman' for scoring 456 runs. Ahuja scored 57 runs and took 27 wickets and was declared 'Man of the Tournament'. The tournament started on November 4, in which teams from Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Tripura, Mizoram, Jammu and Kashmir and Chandigarh participated. The winning and runner-up teams were awarded by chief guest Indian Premier League Chairman Arun Singh Dhumal and special guest former Test cricketer Ashok Malhotra in the presence of UT Cricket Association President Sanjay Tandon. Dhumal said that hard work is the only mantra to achieve success in cricket. Malhotra recalled his days at DAV College and Chandigarh.
