Harshit Rana: Harshit Rana shook up PM XI
New Delhi:
After making a great start in the first Test against host Australia, now Team Rohit's focus is completely on the second day-night Test to be played with pink ball in Adelaide from 6th December. To prepare for this, India had to play a two-day match against Prime Minister's XI, but the first day of the match was washed out by rain. However, the match of 46 overs was decided on Sunday. Batting first, PM XI scored 240 runs losing all wickets in 43.2 overs with Sam Constas' century (107), but Harshit Rana stole the show for India. But before the second test, the pink ball brought more confidence within India in the form of Harshit Rana. Rana gave a message to the Kangaroo batsmen that even though the color of the ball is going to change, they will be more careful now. One can imagine that when Rana has done this, then what will Bumrah do with the pink ball.
This happened in just 6 balls
Harshit took the first wicket by bowling Jack Clayton (40), who was playing very well, from here Rana gave shocks to the PM one after the other at regular intervals. After just one ball, the next batsman Oliver Davis was out without opening the account. And when Rana came with the next over, he dismissed Jacques on the very first ball, then on the third ball another batsman Sam Harper was once again caught by Prasidh Krishna. Overall, Rana dismissed PM Modi in just 6 balls. The XI was put on the back foot by sending four batsmen to the pavilion.
Rana had shown strength in Perth also
Gautam Gambhir had given Harshit Rana his test career debut in Perth. And when India bundled out the Kangaroos for 104 runs in the first innings, Harshit Rana took 3 wickets, then in the second innings too, this Lambu pacer proved his Test debut perfect by taking four wickets including one. At the same time, now before the second test, Rana told that not only is he dangerous with the red ball, he is even more dangerous with the pink ball.
