PCB Warns Selection Committee: Babar Azam had recently decided to resign from the captaincy of Pakistan. Babar was the white ball captain of Pakistan team. Seeing the continuous poor performance of the team, Babar decided to step down from the captaincy. Now the question is arising that after Babar, to whom will Pakistan Cricket Board hand over the captaincy of white ball? This was the warning from Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Mohsin Naqvi.
In fact, Mohisan Naqvi warned the selection committee that any other player should be made captain in place of Babar Azam very thoughtfully. According to reports, Mohammad Rizwan's name is coming up for captaincy. However, no approval has been given by the Pakistan Board yet.
According to the report of Cricket Pakistan, Naqvi while giving instructions to the selection committee said that the captain should be selected very thoughtfully because it is a very important post. Quoting the report, Naqvi said, “I have told him to take the decision thoughtfully because the post of captain is important.”
Why did Babar leave the captaincy?
Babar had given information about his decision to resign from the captaincy while posting on social media. Babar had emphasized in his post that he was resigning from the captaincy because of paying more attention to batting.

It is noteworthy that Babar Azam has played 54 Tests, 117 ODIs and 123 T20 International matches in his international career so far. In 98 innings of Test, Babar has scored 3962 runs at an average of 44.51. Apart from this, he has scored 5729 runs in 114 innings of ODI at an average of 56.72. In the remaining 116 innings of T20 International, Babar has scored 4145 runs at an average of 41.03 and strike rate of 129.08.
