For the first time in Barabanki district, a night cricket match is going to be organized between the district administration and journalists at KD Singh Babu Stadium on 23rd November. The tireless efforts of District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar are behind the organization of this historic match.
In the press conference held on Tuesday at Barabanki Lok Auditorium, DM Satyendra Kumar told that a night cricket match will be organized for the first time in the district. A total of eight matches will be played in this tournament. The first match will be played on 23 November between Media 11 and Administration 11.
The DM also released a T-shirt on this occasion and said that during the match, lighting arrangements will be made in the stadium and GIC auditorium, so that the players and spectators do not face any problem during the game. With this match, cricket lovers in Barabanki will get a new opportunity to play at night.
Sports will be promoted in schools also
DM Satyendra Kumar said on this occasion that sports will be promoted in government schools also. For this, a 'sports period' will be set in schools, so that children can get a chance to develop their interest in sports also. He said that sports are very important for the physical and mental development of children, and the district administration will give priority to it.

DM further said that organizing this night cricket match will inspire the young cricketers of the district. He expressed hope that this initiative will lead to the start of more sports events, which will create a sports environment in the district and children will get an opportunity to showcase their talent.
