South Africa may get to host Champions Trophy 2025!
In fact, according to the report of Sportstak, if the PCB does not agree to the hybrid model then the ICC will snatch the hosting rights from Pakistan for the Champions Trophy and then South Africa will host this 8-team tournament in February-March. Earlier reports also said that Pakistan would withdraw from the tournament if it was not allowed to host the event at home.
ICC did not leave any option with PCB
It is known that the Asia Cup 2023 was hosted by PCB but due to the Indian cricket team's refusal to go to Pakistan, most of the event was organized in Sri Lanka. PCB had said that they would organize the event on a hybrid model but now it seems that ICC has left them no option. Either it hosts the Champions Trophy 2025 with the UAE or loses its rights to the tournament.
