In response, the Tymal Mills-led team restricted Dallas Lonestars to 111/7 and won the match by 28 runs.

Los Angeles, who came to bat first after losing the toss, got a good start and their openers Munsey and Adam Rossington made a brilliant partnership of 65 runs. However, Chris Green broke this partnership in the 5th over and Rossington was out for 26 runs in 10 balls. After this Tim David came to the crease. Who along with George Munsey took the team's innings forward. George Munsey scored 23 runs in 9 balls before being dismissed by Hayden Walsh. After this, Steve Eskinazi came to the crease and along with Munsey took Los Angeles to 139/2 in 10 overs.

Dallas Lonestars, chasing the target given by Los Angeles Waves, lost wickets at regular intervals and the team could score only 111/7 runs at the end of the match. For Dallas Lonestars, Hayden Walsh was the top scorer with 30 runs in 14 balls, while Chris Green scored 21 runs in 7 balls. Apart from him, Colin Munro also scored 15 runs on 8 balls. For Los Angeles Waves, Todd Astle was the star bowler as he took three wickets and conceded only eight runs in two overs. Apart from them, Shakib Al Hasan, Tymal Mills, Rishi Ramesh and Rumman Raees took one wicket each.
