This dangerous accident happened during a third-class cricket match in Perth. Actually, umpire Tony Dinobrecca suffered a serious facial injury due to a straight drive ball. The batsman had played a sharp straight drive shot, which hit umpire Tony Dinobrecca straight on his face. Immediately after the incident, Dinobrecca was treated on the field and the fight had to be stopped briefly. After this he was taken to the hospital. The good thing was that no bones of Denobrega were broken, although he was kept under the observation of doctors.
