Moradabad and Bareilly with guests during the State Secondary School Girls Cricket Competition
Mainpuri. State Secondary School Girls Cricket Competition started on three playgrounds of the district. On the first day of the competition, teams from Moradabad, Gorakhpur and Meerut divisions won their matches in the Under-17 category. In the Under-19 category, the teams of Prayagraj, Aligarh, Banaras and Meerut divisions registered wins and reached the next round.
The inaugural match of the Under-17 girls category was played between Moradabad and Bareilly divisions on the grounds of Shri Chitragupta Inter College in the city. In this, Moradabad division won by 104 runs. Moradabad's Sonam Rana scored 50 runs and was declared the player of the match. In the second match, Gorakhpur defeated Lucknow by 10 wickets. Gorakhpur's Tanu Chaturvedi became the player of the match by scoring 42 runs. The third match of the Under-17 group was played on the playing field of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium, in which Meerut Mandal defeated Kasturba Vidyalaya by 10 wickets. Meerut bowler Unnati was declared player of the match for taking three wickets for four runs. The fourth match of Under-17 was to be played between Prayagraj Mandal and Aligarh Mandal but due to Kasturba being a player in Prayagraj Mandal, Prayagraj Mandal was thrown out of the competition.
The inaugural match of the Under-19 girls category was played between Prayagraj Mandal and Chitrakoot Mandal at the Christian Ground in the city. In the inaugural match, Prayagraj Mandal defeated Chitrakoot Mandal by 27 runs. Aastha Mishra of Prayagraj Mandal became the player of the match by scoring 51 runs. In the second match on the same ground, Aligarh Division defeated Moradabad Division by 143 runs. Aligarh Mi Vandana took 6 wickets for 3 runs and was declared the player of the match. Under-19 match was played between Banaras Division and Bareilly Division at Nehru Stadium. Banaras defeated Bareilly by 9 wickets. In another match, Meerut Division defeated Lucknow Division by 109 runs.
Earlier, the competition was inaugurated by DIET Principal Manmohan Sharma after introducing himself to the players at the playground of Shri Chitragupt Inter College. District School Inspector Satish Kumar, competition coordinator Principal Himanshu Yadav, Suman Yadav, Dr. Padam Singh, Harprasad Yadav, Prashant Chaturvedi, Mayank Yadav etc. were present here. The program was presided over by Shri Chitragupta Inter College Manager Vedprakash Saxena.
Exercise teacher is fulfilling a big responsibility
In the competition, district exercise teachers Swatantra Kumar, Kanhaiyalal, Vinod Kumar, Pradeep Kumar, Kalimkhan, Kaushalendra, Ravilal, Rashmi Singh, Ajit Kumar, Rajkumar, Umesh Chandra, Purendra, Subhash Yadav, Pramod Kumar, Savita played important responsibilities.
