These teams will participate in Hong Kong Cricket Sixes 2024
The first edition of the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes Tournament was played in 1992. Legends like Shane Warne, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni have also played in it. This time in the tournament, there will be a title battle between 12 teams. The names of these teams are as follows, India, Australia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, England, Hong Kong, Nepal, New Zealand, Oman, South Africa, Sri Lanka and UAE.
Let us tell you that the tournament is to be played between 1st and 3rd November and three matches will be played every day. This tournament is quite unique, because only 6 players will be included in each team, whereas usually 11 players participate in a cricket match team. During the match, both will get 5-5 overs to play. During this period, except the wicketkeeper, all other players can bowl 1 over each. If five players are out before the end of five overs, the last batsman bats alone.
However, now it remains to be seen whether the teams will select key players in their squad for the tournament or young players get a chance to play in it. But it is certain that after the start of the tournament, fans will get to see exciting matches. Such tournaments are rarely organized in any country at present.
Team India won the title in 2005
