Muzaffarpur, 5 December. In the final match of Chandrapur Mayor Cup cricket competition going on in Chandrikapur Nepal, the team of Maheshwar Foundation Muzaffarpur Bihar achieved the honor of becoming champion by defeating the team of Madhavnagar Municipality by 45 runs.
In the final match played on Monday at Chandrapur ground, Maheshwar Foundation Muzaffarpur Bihar team captain Ashish Singh won the toss and batted first and scored 135 runs losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Raja Kumar scored 40 runs, Manjay Alok scored 25 runs, Imran Nazir scored 28 runs, Suraj Diana scored 12 runs and Atulya Priyankar scored 10 runs.
Madhavnagar Municipality team bowler Chandan took 3 wickets, Abhiraj took 2 wickets, Ranjeet, Jitendra and Satish took 1 wicket each.
Batting in reply, Madhavnagar Municipality team was all out after scoring only 90 runs in 16.5 overs. Rajesh scored 21 runs, Sudhir Yadav scored 17 runs, Abhiraj scored 13 runs, Ranjeet scored 10 runs and Satish scored 9 runs.
Maheshwar Foundation Muzaffarpur Bihar team bowler captain Ashish Singh bowled brilliantly, took 4 wickets, Manjay Alok and Abhishek Anand took 2 wickets each.
The umpires of the match were Pramod Yadav and Maharishi, scorer Bhanu, commentators Surya Kumar and Manish.
The Man of the Match award was given to Maheshwar Foundation Muzaffarpur Bihar team captain Ashish Singh.
Man of the Series and Best Batsman awards were given to Chandan Kumar and Ranveer Kumar of Madhavnagar Municipality team.
The best bowler award was given to Aditya Kumar of Maheshwar Foundation Muzaffarpur Bihar team.
The winning Maheshwar Foundation Muzaffarpur Bihar team was given one lakh rupees cash and trophy and the runner-up Madhavnagar Municipality team was given fifty thousand rupees cash and trophy at the hands of chief guest Mayor Manoj Kafle. Competition President Dev Raj Yadav, Manish Yadav, Madan Anand, Saroj Yadav and other cricket lovers were present in the prize distribution ceremony.
