Adil Rashid Wants to Win Champions Trophy and World Cup: In the last few days, many players have said goodbye to international cricket. England's star all-rounder Moeen Ali's name has also been included in this. After Moeen's retirement, there were speculations that perhaps Adil Rashid may also announce his retirement from international cricket soon, but the experienced spinner made a big announcement and said that he has no such plans right now.

Adil Rashid reacted to the question related to retirement

Let us tell you that Adil Rashid achieved a big achievement in the recent ODI match played against Australia at Headingley. He became the first spin bowler from England to take 200 wickets in the ODI format. Rashid will still continue to play for England and he has no plans to retire yet.

“I haven't thought about it (retirement) yet. I try to keep playing, enjoy it, stay fit, bowl well, contribute to victory. Winning the Champions Trophy and the World Cup is my goal,” ESPNcricinfo quoted Rashid as saying.

He further said that I am playing every match and every series. I am still enjoying it and performing well, so I will continue playing. Playing for so long and taking wickets, I never even dreamed about it, so hopefully I will be able to continue it. It has been a fun journey with ups and downs and hopefully I will be able to move forward like this in the rest of my career. As of now I have no intention of retiring or doing anything like that and it has not even come to my mind. It is time to enjoy the game and still give my best.

Rashid wants to be a part of big tournaments like the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan in 2025, the 2026 T20 World Cup and the 2027 ODI World Cup and wants to make the team a winner. However, Rashid's central contract is only till the end of the summer of 2025.
