Rewari. The final match of the five-day-long inter-college cricket tournament was played between host KLP College and Ahir College at Kishanlal Public College (KLP). In this, the team of KLP College won and captured the overall trophy.
The chief guest of the final cricket match was Dr. JP, Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi University. Yadav remained. He congratulated the executive and players of KLP College for winning the overall trophy of the inter-college level cricket tournament for the sixth consecutive time. The final match was inaugurated by Amit Gupta, President of KLP College Board of Management. Principal of the college, Dr. Kavita Gupta and Chairman of the Physical Education Department, Dr. Rambir Jakhar honored Amit Gupta.
After getting introduced to the players the competition started. KLP College won the toss and elected to field. Ahir College scored 94 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 15 overs. In reply, KLP College won the match in 14.3 overs. Man of the Series KLG College player Aditya scored unbeaten half-centuries in three consecutive matches. The award of Best Bowler went to Ankit who took 10 wickets in the series. Dr. Sajjan Kaushik, Sahil Panwar, Sanskar and Rahul Bhardwaj, who performed the duties of umpire, were also honoured.
Dr. Pankaj Phogat, Observer Naresh Yadav, Superintendent Abhishek, Sports Director Dr. Aditi Sharma, Coach Devendra Dhaka, Naveen Saini, Announcer Jatin were also honoured. Journalism and Mass Communication students from the college reported the matches throughout the series.
