Kevin Pietersen On Multan Pitch: The first Test is being played between England and Pakistan in Multan. After winning the toss, Pakistan came to bat first and scored 556 runs. In response to which the English batsmen are scoring runs easily. Till the time of writing the news, England's score is 370 runs for 3 wickets. In this way, by the third session of the third day, the score was more than 900 runs, but only 13 batsmen from both the teams were out. Questions are being raised continuously on the pitch of Multan. Former England captain Michael Vaughan had described the pitch as a 'flat road'. Now former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has vented his anger on the pitch.
Kevin Pietersen posted on X (Twitter). He has written in his post – Multan's wicket has become a graveyard for bowlers. If this pitch does not deteriorate as the Test progresses and the match ends in a draw, then it will help in ruining the Test format. Till now, dominance of batsmen has been seen on the pitch. After Pakistani batsmen, English batsmen are scoring runs easily. At the same time, on this pitch the bowlers are yearning for wickets.
Still a bowlers graveyard! If this wicket doesn't crumble and produce a result, it's helping DESTROY Test cricket.

Earlier, many cricketers including Michael Atherton, Michael Vaughan and Nasir Hussain vented their anger on the pitch. However, this is not the first time that Kevin Pietersen has called the pitch a graveyard for bowlers, even before this he has called the pitch a graveyard for bowlers. At the same time, Michael Vaughan had called the pitch of Multan as the road of Multan. Nasir Hussain had said that Test cricket cannot be played on such pitches which remain flat for full 5 days. He also said that if Test cricket has to be made fun then a better pitch is needed.
