The conflict between India and Pakistan regarding the Champions Trophy is continuously increasing. After BCCI's refusal, Pakistani cricketers are furious and are continuously making statements. Now veteran cricketer Shahid Afridi has also jumped into this controversy. He has tried to target India without taking the name of India. Afridi described the Champions Trophy as an important milestone for cricket. According to him, for the first time since the 1970s, cricket is facing the biggest challenge. At the same time, without taking the name of BCCI, he also asked to keep pride under control. Before Afridi, many Pakistani cricketers including Basit Ali and Rashid Latif have also expressed their opinion.

What did Shahid Afridi say?

While giving advice, former cricketer Shahid Afridi has said that 'Cricket is standing at a crucial juncture and is probably facing the biggest challenge since 1970. This is the time that we forget our differences and unite for the sake of sports. If we can forget our divisions and come together for the sake of Olympics, then why can't we do the same for cricket and Champions Trophy. He didn't stop at just giving advice. He further targeted India by name and said, 'As patrons of this game, it is our responsibility to control our pride and focus on the development of cricket.'

Pakistan may suffer huge loss

Pakistan is going to host an ICC tournament after almost 28 years. For this he has also spent a lot. Pakistan, which is facing financial crisis, was hopeful that it would earn a lot from this tournament. But due to BCCI's decision of not sending Team India to Pakistan, it may now have to suffer huge losses. Now he has only three options left. Either he accepts the demand for hybrid model, otherwise the Champions Trophy should be shifted to another country.

In case of increased conflict between the two boards, it should be postponed indefinitely. Pakistan will suffer loss in all these three situations. This will reduce the fees received by Pakistan Cricket Board by 65 million dollars i.e. about 548 rupees. If the Champions Trophy is shifted to another country or is cancelled, then apart from not getting the fees, there will also be a loss in the stadium expenses.
