Jhansi News: Rani Lakshmibai Cricket Academy and Jai Academy have won the matches played in the 54th JDCA Dr. Vrindavan Lal Verma League cum Knockout Cricket Competition organized by Jhansi District Cricket Association.

The first match was played between Rani Laxmibai Cricket Academy and Bundelkhand United under the chief hospitality of Wasim Qureshi. Rani Lakshmibai Cricket Academy, batting first after winning the toss, scored 177 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. Harshit hit 7 fours and 1 six and Yuvraj hit 6 fours and 1 six in 64 runs. From Bundelkhand United side, Kunal Raikwar took 3 wickets for 31 runs and Pritish and Satyam took one wicket each. Coming to achieve the target, Bundelkhand United team could score only 110 runs after losing 8 wickets in 20 overs.

Himanshu scored 46 (4 fours, 1 six) and Devrath scored 20 runs. Ayush Kanjar took 3 for 31 runs, Nikhil Kanjar took 2 for 13 runs and Anurag Raikwar, Jitendra Chauhan and Arendra Kabutra took one wicket each. Harshit was presented with the Aastha Pharmaceuticals Player of the Match award by Rajpal Arora.

The second match was played between Jai Academy and Vishwanath Sharma Cricket Academy under the chief hospitality of Rajpal Arora. Vishwanath Sharma Cricket Academy, who came to bat first after winning the toss, scored 139 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Akshdeep Patel contributed 50 runs (4 fours), Rahul Kushwaha 50 runs (4 fours, 1 six), Vivek Tiwari contributed 26 runs (3 fours, 1 six).

From Jai Academy, Anuj Tiwari took 3 wickets for 29 runs, Jitendra Dixit took 2 wickets for 16 runs and Saurabh Ghavri took one wicket. Jai Academy's batsmen, who set out to win the target of 140 runs, won by scoring 141 runs at the loss of 1 wicket in 16.5 overs. Utkarsh Aggarwal scored a brilliant 88 runs (7 fours, 4 sixes), Pranjal Shukla scored 35 not out and Arpit Sahu scored 10 runs. Raj Nayak took 1 wicket. Utkarsh Aggarwal was presented the Aastha Pharmaceuticals Player of the Match award by JDCA member Pawan Nayyar.
