Yamunanagar/Radaur. The final match of the Shaheed Udham Singh Kamboj Cricket Competition going on in Bahadurpur village was held between the teams of Rajepur and Islamnagar (Indri). Rajepur team batted first and scored 25 runs in six overs. In reply, Islamnagar team registered a thrilling victory on the last ball of the last over. The winning team was honored with a trophy of Rs 51,000 and the runner-up team with Rs 21,000.
Billy Islamnagar was chosen Man of the Match and Man of the Series. Best bowler Manish Dhaudang and best batsman Surendra Babain were selected. 32 teams from the region participated in the competition. These included teams from Alahar, Jubbal, Nandpura, Nachraun, Bahadurpur, Jathlana, Naharpur, Sukhpura, Dhaudang, Bhoji etc.
The final match of the competition was inaugurated by chief guest Vinay Haripur by cutting the ribbon. Vinay Haripur said that sports is an integral part of life. The youth should give up drugs and concentrate on sports. This improves their physical and mental development. Ankush, Jayant, Kapil, Happy, Kaka, Vikrat, Abhishek, Rajesh etc. were present on this occasion.
