IPL Retention 2025 Date, Time Live Updates: Mega Auction is to be held before the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025). Before this, the franchises have to release the list of retained players by 31st October. 6 players can be retained. There could be 5 capped players and 2 uncapped Indian players. Among the 5 capped players, there can also be 5 foreign players.

Each team has a purse of Rs 120 crore. There will be a deduction of Rs 75 crore on retaining 5 capped players. There are slabs of Rs 18 crore, Rs 14 crore, Rs 11 crore, Rs 18 crore and Rs 14 crore. Franchises will also have the option of Right to Match Card (RTM). The Board of Control for Cricket in India has not announced when the IPL mega auction will take place. However, this is likely to happen in late November. This will last for two.
