Ajmer SPC GCA won the title of Inter College Cricket Competition being organized by MDS University. Defeated DAV College in the final played on Thursday.
The final match was played on the ground of host DAV College itself. SPC GCA defeated the host in their own home. Sports Officer Dr. Syed Asghar Ali said that in the final match played between DAV Ajmer vs SPC GCA, SPC GCA won the toss and bowled first. DAV College scored 221 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 50 hours.
From DAV College, Hitesh scored 53 runs, Prem Mehra scored 38 runs and Sameen scored 47 unbeaten runs. Kastub Bhadana of SPC GCA took 4 wickets, Sagar Singh and Mayank took 2 wickets each. SPC GCA team, chasing the target, scored 224 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 43.5 hours and won the match by 5 wickets. On behalf of SPC College, Yashvendra contributed 66 runs, Kashtush Bhadana contributed 43 runs and Vinod contributed 36 runs. From DAV College, Hitesh dismissed 3 players and Prem and Chirag dismissed 1 player each. Thus the Government College won the title of winner.
The chief guest of the function was Priya Bhargava, Registrar, MDS University, which was presided over by Professor Dr. Manoj Baharwal, Principal, SPC GCA. Special guest Professor Dr. Sushil Kumar Bissu, Assistant Director of College Education, Government of Rajasthan and Dr. Digvijay Singh Chauhan, Secretary Sports Board, MDS, Ajmer and Dr. Laxmikant, Principal DAV College, Ajmer presented medals and trophies to the players. Dr. Syed Asghar Ali expressed his gratitude to everyone.
