India vs Bangladesh T20I Series: Bangladesh captain Shanto Nazmul Hossain said on Friday that his new-look team will forget the defeat in the Test series and play aggressive cricket in the upcoming T20 series against India. India had defeated Bangladesh 2-0 in the test series. The T20 series will start on Sunday at the new Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium here.
Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto told reporters, “To be honest, we want to win this series. We want to play aggressive cricket. If you look at our performance in the last World Cup, we had a good chance to play in the semi-finals.” But we missed it, so I hope all the players will play good cricket here.
The Bangladesh captain said that he will not think about his team's performance in the Test series. He said, “We all know that we did not show our best in the Test. We are not thinking about what we have done before. But this is an important series for us and we all know that the T20 game is completely different.” It's different. Only the one who plays well on the match day will win the match.”
Teams of both India and Bangladesh will take the field in a new form and young players will be included. India's team will be completely new which will be led by Suryakumar Yadav whereas Bangladesh's T20 team will have only five players who were also part of the Test team. Shanto said that the first match of the series is on a new ground, so the behavior of the pitch will remain predictable.
He said, “We know it is a very different ground. It is a new ground and we do not know much about the wicket. But we did practice sessions in the last few days and we tried to find out how the wicket will behave. .”
