First, Yashasvi Jaiswal completed his half-century in just 31 balls and equaled Shardul Thakur's record of scoring the third fastest half-century for India in Test cricket. After this, India became the first team to hit 90 sixes in a calendar year in Test cricket.
Not only this, India completed the fastest hundred runs in the history of Test cricket in just 10.1 overs. Team India broke its own record of scoring a century in 12.2 overs against West Indies in Port of Spain in 2023.

After losing two days due to rain, India are eyeing reaching the final of the World Test Championship. In reply to Bangladesh's 233, the Indian team played aggressively from the first over. Jaiswal hit 3 fours in the first over itself. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma also kept scoring runs. Jaiswal's explosive innings ended when he was clean bowled by Hasan Mahmood. He played an inning of 72 runs in 51 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 12 fours. Rohit Sharma scored 23 runs.
