Shamli. Divisional level cricket competition of junior category of secondary colleges was organized in RK Inter College of the city. The final match of the competition took place between the teams of Shamli and Saharanpur. In which Shamli won by 30 runs and qualified for the state level.

On Monday, divisional level cricket competition of under-14 category was organized at RK Inter College located on Jhinjhana Road. Out of which the semi-final match was held between the teams of Saharanpur and Muzaffarnagar. In which Muzaffarnagar team was out after scoring 90 runs in 12 overs. Saharanpur team reached the final match by scoring 91 runs in 11.1 overs and winning by one wicket. The final match of the competition took place between the teams of Shamli and Saharanpur. Batting first, Shamli's team scored 90 runs in 12 overs. While chasing the target, Saharanpur team was reduced to 60 runs.

Shamli team became the winner by 30 runs. Man of the Match Saksham, a student of Satyanarayan School, Shamli, was chosen for scoring 20 runs and four wickets. Now the winning team will show their strength by participating in the state level cricket competition to be held in Agra from 5th October. During this, sports teachers Yogendra Malik, Phool Kumar, Amarpal Singh Kalkhande, Afzal, Vineet Kumar, Vipin Tyagi, Vikas Panwar etc. were present.
