Honor of Pakistan Cricket, Babar Azam's bat included in the Long Room of Melbourne Cricket Ground!

A proud moment for Pakistan cricket, Babar Azam's bat, which was used by him in the 2022 T20 World Cup final, will now be displayed in the iconic Long Room of the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). MCG officials contacted Babar, who happily agreed to donate his bat.

The move adds a personal touch to the rich history of cricket, which will be on display at one of the most historic venues in the world. The Long Room is associated with cricketing legends and has previously displayed the bats of great players such as Don Bradman, David Boon, Jack Hobbs and Brian Lara. Now, it will proudly dedicate this historical bat of Babar.

What did Babar Azam say on this occasion?

On this special occasion, Babar Azam said, “It is an honor for me to have my bat in the long room. I have many memories with the MCG; it is one of the finest grounds in the world, and great batsmen have had their moments with the bats. Being a bat is a special pleasure for me.” Babar's contribution was important in the 2022 T20 World Cup final, in which he showcased his talent brilliantly.

His arrival in Australia was enthusiastically welcomed, with fans flocking to take photos with him and offer encouraging words, although his form has been challenged recently. Babar was one of the first players from the tour team to reach Australia. The team is preparing for the much-awaited ODI series against hosts Australia from November 4 to 18. After this, they will leave for the matches in Zimbabwe between 24 November and 5 December.
