Hong Kong Super Sixes 2024: The exciting news for cricket lovers is that the organizers of the soon-to-start Hong Kong Sixes tournament have announced India's participation in the upcoming 2024 edition. The Indian cricket team will be among the 12 members who will play in China between November 1 and 3. Will come out on top in one of the most exciting competitions. Apart from India, host country Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, England, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Oman and UAE have also been announced as participating countries. The Hong Kong Sixes competition returns after a seven-year hiatus, having been held continuously between 1992 and 2017. The 12-nation tournament will have six players from each side, with five overs and will be played in a round-robin and knockout format.
Interestingly, the competition has moved away from the traditional eight-team format and increased the number of participants to 12. India has managed to win the title only once, in 2005 and were runners-up in the 1996 edition. England and South Africa are the two most successful teams in the Hong Kong Six, having won five trophies respectively while Pakistan has won four.
