Hong Kong Sixes Rules
The Hong Kong Sixes Cricket Tournament is a unique and new format of fast-paced cricket with some different and exciting rules compared to traditional cricket. Each team has 6 players and each match is of 5 overs per innings. Apart from this, each over in the final match of the tournament is of 8 balls. Except the wicketkeeper, each member of the fielding team has to bowl 1 over each. Two runs are awarded for wides and no-balls.
Rules for batsmen in Hong Kong Sixes
In this tournament, a rule has been made for the batsmen, which is quite different. If 5 wickets fall before 5 overs, the last remaining batsman will bat and the fifth batsman will act as the runner. Even in case of scoring one run, only the last batsman will remain on strike. The innings ends when the sixth wicket falls or the overs are over. Batsmen have to retire at 31 runs, but they can come back when all the other batsmen are out or retire. That means if a batsman hits 6 sixes in a row then he will retire.
