He has become the joint first bowler for the Pakistan cricket team to take the most wickets in T20 International cricket. 31-year-old Rauf has achieved this special achievement by taking four wickets in the second T20 match against Australia. Rauf now has 107 wickets in his name while participating in T20 International cricket for Pakistan. Apart from him, former captain Shadab Khan, who is currently out of the team, has also taken 107 wickets. It is expected that soon Rauf will leave Shadab behind and become the first bowler from Pakistan to take the most wickets in T20 International cricket.

During the match, he trapped the opposition captain Josh Inglis as well as opening batsman Jake Fraser-McGurk, explosive middle-order batsman Tim David and lower-order player Xavier Bartlett.
