Mahendragarh. Central University of Haryana launched Season-4 of Inter Department Cricket Tournament under the Outreach Programme.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the tournament to be organized at Baba Rupadas Cricket Ground, Paldi Panihari, Registrar of the University, Prof. Sunil Kumar was present as the chief guest. Dr. Sumit Saini and Dr. Shahjahan told that the competition was played in a match between Haken University Employees Cricket Club and Veterinary-11.
In the match, the team of Employees Cricket Club of Haken University defeated the team of Veterinary-11 by 35 runs. On behalf of Haken University, Sanjeev Kumar was given the title of Man of the Match for bowling brilliantly and taking 4 wickets. Anurag played an inning of 42 runs. In the second match, the Irrigation Department Mahendragarh team defeated the Health Heroes team by 68 runs. Rinku Yadav was given the title of Man of the Match for taking 4 wickets in the match. Pankaj Yadav of Irrigation Department, Mahendragarh played a brilliant inning of 46 runs. Apart from the university, teams from Irrigation Department Mahendragarh, Employees Cricket Club Kosli, Health Department Dadri, Veterinary-11 are participating in the competition.
University Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that along with office work, sports are also useful for the mental and physical health of the employees. Chief Guest Prof. Sunil Kumar said that such sports competitions prove helpful in relieving the employees from stress. Pro. Sunil Kumar thanked all the members of the temple committee and gram panchayat and extended best wishes for the successful organization of the tournament. Earlier, Sarpanch representative of Paldi Panihari village and head of temple committee Vijay Pal Fauji welcomed all the players and the chief guest. On this occasion, many villagers including Panch Ratna Prakash Saudagar, Deputy Head Jagvindra, Head Dharamveer, Cashier Omprakash, Kuldeep Contractor, Groundman Atar Singh, Mohit, Krishna, Vikas, Tony were present.
