Gorakhpur. The three-day divisional level children's sports competition was inaugurated on Tuesday at the Regional Sports Stadium. In cricket (girls), Gorakhpur team became the winner and Kushinagar team became the runner-up. In the PT competition, the team of Gorakhpur and Deoria jointly stood first, Maharajganj second and Kushinagar team stood third. In volleyball, Deoria team became the winner and Gorakhpur team became the runner-up.
Competitions were organized at primary and upper primary level. In primary, Rohit of Gorakhpur in 50 meter boys, Anantha Pal of Kushinagar in girls, Rohit of Gorakhpur in 100 meters boys, Shaheen of Deoria in girls, Arvind of Maharajganj in 400 meters boys, Sujata of Deoria in girls got first place.
In the upper primary level 100 meter boys category, Amresh of Maharajganj got the first place, in the girls category, Srishti Maurya of Gorakhpur got the first place. Before this, the function was inaugurated by Rural MLA Vipin Singh. Divisional Basic Assistant Education Director Vinod Kumar Mishra, BSA Ramendra Kumar Singh, Nodal Officer Narendra Kumar Singh, Dr. Prabhat Rai, Rajesh Dhar Dubey, Tarakeshwar Shahi, Vinod were present in the program.
